Readme File


Welcome to the OvaGraph program.  

This file is intended to help you with installation and use of the OvaGraph software.

To install the program just put in disk 1 and RUN the file setup.exe from the START menu.  

The program will then install itself in the c:\program files\ovagraph directory.

The program comes with two data files: sample.dat and readings.dat.

OvaCue(r) readings are stored in the file readings.dat which can be modified manually 

with any text editing software (MS NotePad recommended)

The sample.dat gives you the format for the readings should you desire to enter them manually.

The first line is your name, the second line contains the start of the current 

cycle and the average cycle length.

Each additional line stores the date (yyyy/mm/dd), the oral reading (xxx) and time (hh:mm) 

and the vaginal reading (xxx)and time (hh:mm).  Only the oral reading will be present

if a vaginal reading was not taken on that day.

Each value must be separated by a tab.  

Each cycle start day is identified with the date and the number 1 or 2 only.

The most recent cycle start day is 2, past cycle start days are 1.

You can copy the file sample.dat to readings.dat to see OvaGraph working with that data.

(When you use the Calculate Fertility button, make sure you use the arrow buttons

at the bottom of the panel to slide the calendar to January, February, March and April 2002).

To start with a new file, either delete all data from the program or create a 

blank readings.dat file.  Then enter your data in the format as above and 

save to readings.dat as text only.
